Understanding your Honda Maintenance Minder is easy. Each Maintenance Minder has one to three parts: a Message, a Main Item, and a Sub Item. The Message corresponds to your Honda’s remaining oil life, the Main Item relates to the primary service that needs to be performed, and the Sub Item refers to any additional services your Honda needs.

For example if your Honda display reads, SERVICE DUE SOON A 3, then your Honda has 15% oil life remaining and you should plan to take your vehicle in for scheduled maintenance. During your service visit your engine oil will be replaced as well as your transmission fluid and fluid transfer (if equipped).

To understand the Maintenance Minder code on your Honda, simply locate the Message, Main Item, and Sub Item on the Maintenance Minder chart. Once you match the code to the message, you’ll know just what to do.
